Muse Breaks Billboard Chart Record

With 19 weeks spent as the #1 on Billboard’s Alternative Chart, the “Madness” by Muse has officially broken the record for the time spent on the top of the list.

The song itself is the debut single off the band’s current album “The 2nd Law”. The Grammy-nominated track has managed to surpass the previous record holder, “The Pretender” by Foo Fighters, originally released in 2007.

“The 2nd Law” brought yet another record to the group by becoming their all-time highest debut on the Billboard Top 200 Album list, peaking at #2 after its release back in September.

Band is currently keeping itself busy with live concert dates and has decided to surprise fans by officially announcing the live streaming of their forthcoming London concert at the 2013 BRIT Awards show.

The performance at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire is set to take place on February 18 from 9:30 GMT and will be streamed live on YouTube.

The concert also marks the 20th anniversary of the War Child charity, which is set to receive a special recognition at this year’s award show. With the concert tickets sold out in less than three minutes, the live stream will prove as a unique opportunity for all the fans who missed out to get their share of the action on stage.

“We are proud to have a continuing association with War Child, who have been doing amazing work over the last 20 years. It’s great to see their efforts being recognized at this year’s Brits and we are really looking forward to playing this special show for them”, stated the frontman Matt Bellamy.

After recently revealing plans for working on “The 2nd Law” follow-up, band has unveiled a new video for the “Supremacy” track. Featuring several black metal surfers, it’s a bit strange to say the least.
