Pianist is set to return for recital in Kings Lynn
A classical pianist who gave an acclaimed recital at the 2010 King’s Lynn Festival is set to return to Lynn’s Corn Exchange later this month to round off the Three Seasons series. Nikolai Demidenko’s passionate virtuosity and musicianship have brought him worldwide recognition.
He gives frequent London recitals which have included the Great Performers series at the Barbican Concert Hall, the International Piano Series at South Bank Centre and recently the London Pianoforte Series at the Wigmore Hall broadcast on BBC Radio 3. This season’s highlights have included appearances with the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Hallé Orchestra and tours in the UK, Spain and Ireland with the Prague Symphony Orchestra and with the EUCO including the Bath Festival.
The recital will see him play Schumann’s Carnival Scenes from Vienna and Carnaval Op.9 followed by two sonatas by Schubert.
Nikolai Demidenko will be at Lynn’s Corn Exchange on April 12. Tickets cost £16.50, under 18s half price, from the Corn Exchange box office 01553 764864.
