Young Pianist William Fowler Plays In Rome

A young pianist has competed in an international music competition held in Italy.

William Fowler, age 15, from Cawthorpe, who studies as a pianist and vocalist at the Purcell School for Young Musicians, took part in the prestigious 8th International Mozart piano competition in Rome last month.

William, the only UK representative, was competing against some of the world’s most talented pianists from places such as Russia, Czech Republic, Indonesia and Venezuela.

He was awarded third place in his category.
