Famed Polish Pianist To Perform In Hanoi

Well-known Polish pianist Krystian Tkaczewski will perform for Hanoi audiences at a concert on June 20 at the Viet Nam National Academy of Music.

At the event, the artist will showcase renowned works by Chopin, including Nocturne in C minor, Op. 48, No.1; Scherzo in E major, Op. 54; 4 Mazurkas, Op.17 and Andante Spianato, Grand Polonaise, Op. 22, as well as Mussorgsky’s Pictures From An Exhibition.

In 2007, Krystian received a Graduate Professional Diploma from the University of Hartford’s Hartt School, where he is pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts Degree.

Tkaczewski’s career has taken him to the USA, Asia and Europe. He has performed in around 20 countries and is frequently invited to be a judge at prestigious piano contests around the world, including the Chopin International Piano Competition in Hartford, in the U.S. state of Connecticut; the Golden Key Festival in New Jersey; the American Liszt Piano Competition in Los Angeles; and the Russian Music Piano Competition.

In his trip to Vietnam, besides performing, the pianist will also teach master courses at the Viet Nam National Academy of Music from June 19 to 22.
