A renowned concert pianist who was appointed an MBE has been charged with sex offences against boys. John Briggs, 65, is accused of assaulting three males, two of whom were under 16, in the 1990’s.
He is charged with four counts of indecent assault on a male and one count of indecency with a child.
Mr Briggs, of East Morton, Keighley, was given bail by Bradford magistrates and will next appear at the city’s crown court on Tuesday.
He has indicated he will enter not guilty pleas.
Mr Briggs, who has performed at high-profile venues across the world, was appointed an MBE 10 years ago.
