Robert Finley To Perform At Yamaha Recital Room

Robert Finley, winner of the 2012 Amateur Piano Competition, will be performing at Chappell’s dedicated Yamaha recital room on Tuesday, August 13th.

The retired electronics engineer’s recital will include Chopin, Wagner and Quilter and will be free to attend. However, demand for the performance is expected to be high, so booking early is encouraged.

Finley achieved join first place at the live final of last year’s 2012 Amateur Piano Competition, performing on Yamaha’s flagship CFX concert grand before a judging panel that comprised Noriko Ogawa, Michael Roll, Murray McLachlan and Pianist Magazine editor Erica Worth.

Following the competition final, Worth commented: “The standard was way beyond our wildest dreams. The finalists are truly outstanding amateurs; they play like true professionals. It’s so inspiring to hear the quality of classical music being played in living rooms up and down the country.”
