9-Year-Old Pianist Wows Judges on America’s Got Talent

With so many musicians and performers competing on America’s Got Talent, it can be hard to make an impression. However nine-year-old pianist Adrian Romoff certainly made his.

Romoff from Atlanta, who admits to having skipped five grades and can play piano like both Mozart and a rock star, certainly wowed the judges.

“We don’t need another machine in our world…” claims the nine-year-old, who has a passion for both science and music, “We need emotions.”

While someone so young has never won AGT before, there’s a first time for everything.

Typically, children are eventually sent home either for lack of diversity or the belief that they are not yet ready for the fame.

Romoff is rare in the sense that he has both the personality and the talent to remain interesting. He is naturally clever in front of the judges and is able to transform the solitary activity of playing the piano into a vivid, interactive experience. During his audition, Howie Mandel called Romoff “the future” and Howard Stern declared, “it’s interesting for a kid your age to play so well, and you’re a personality.”

This boy’s combination of intellect, charm, and range might just pull together to create the show’s youngest winner.
