Steinway’s Asia Growth Expands

Like many luxury firms one of the world’s best known piano makers, Steinway, has been expanding into China over the past decade.

In fact, growing wealth has put Asia at the forefront of Steinway’s growth strategy.

The BBC’s Ashleigh Nghiem spoke to the company’s regional boss, Werner Husmann, in Singapore.

He told her that in some Asian countries, nearly half of its sales were being driven by parents buying the instruments for their young children.
