THE NEW ROLAND MX-1 ABLETON LIVE INTEGRATION

The Roland MX-1 Mix Performer can now control Ableton LIVE. The collaboration was unveiled at ADE 2015, with an exclusive performance from KiNK – one of the most tech-savvy DJs around – who was only too happy to test the new hookup.  The new Live mode lets artists directly control Ableton Live from their MX-1, with the ability to launch and stop clips and scenes from Live, as well as selecting, arming and soloing tracks directly from the MX-1 front panel. Additional functions include record on/off, stop all clips and altering send level.

Part of Roland’s AIRA range, the Roland MX-1 is an 18-channel performance mixer that brings together synths, drum machines, loops, DAW tracks and more, creating a fast and intuitive workspace that quickly becomes the nerve centre of your electronic music rig. For artists who perform with multiple hardware products, the MX-1 ensures everything works well together, within a stable, reliable environment that also enables creativity and experimentation.
