Whether used in a corrective or creative capacity, EQ (or equalisation)  adjusting the levels of frequency response of an audio signal, has long since been seen as an essential extension to the art of recording, mixing, and mastering. When first opening RP-EQ in your DAW, you will see that is is far from being a basic ‘bread-and-butter’ equaliser with unique elements being added to the core equaliser. This truly essential music-making tool for today includes a Mid/Side EQ mode and a MONO/STEREO SPLIT FILTER section, often used in modern EDM styles. An AIR section adds an additional EQ band, boosting very high frequencies with a wide bandwidth with the perceived effect of providing the effected audio with a bit more breathing space (or ‘air’) works well on the master channel, while the proven XY pad adds a dynamic and creative edge to an already very musical-sounding EQ!
