Assessing the musical progress of SEND children and young people
Drake Music’s Jonathan Westrup will be joined by former Classic FM SEND Teacher of the Year Jocelyn Watkins to deliver this session. Based on current research, the seminar will discuss the future of clear progression routes for SEND students in music education, and address the gaps that still need to be overcome. Delegates will also be presented with a number of informal assessment exercises and explore how the use of assistive music technology can be assessed.
