Bar Wotever host a panel discussion

The Musicians’ Union has teamed up with Bar Wotever to host a panel discussion focusing on LGBT venues to mark LGBT History Month 2016.  2015 was a tough year for some of London’s most well-known LGBT venues. Many shut their doors for good and many more came under threat from property developers, landlords and noise abatement issues.

It is no over-exaggeration to say that London’s LGBT community is in crisis. As these venues close, so do safe spaces for LGBT people to socialise and find information on political issues and safer sex.  So what does this mean for the future for LGBT venues and the community as a whole?

How can we protect these historic, iconic and valued LGBT venues from disappearing forever?

Please join us at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern for what promises to be a fascinating, engaging and important evening.

Date

Tuesday 2 February 2016

Time

7pm – 9pm

Venue:

Royal Vauxhall Tavern, 372 Kennington Lane, London SE11 5HY
