Mogees has launched the Mogees Keys iOS app, which works alongside its Pro and Play sensors, turning vibrations into MIDI data. The new app lets users select the scale and key they want to play in, and then the specific notes they want to use. The musician can then play on anything and have it turned into MIDI music. All you have to do is stick your Mogees sensor to any object in the real world and plug it into your iPhone.
Soft taps create single notes and harder taps trigger chords. There’s also and option to trigger various arpeggio styles.
With more than 88 editable presets, users can play around with three different sound engines – a physical modelling resynthesizer, a steel string resonator, and an FM synth. 12+ Scale Modes allow for a diverse pallet of harmonies with quick swap capabilities for key changes.
While the app is free, it requires Mogees Pro or Play vibration sensor and a Mogees account to be used.
