Music for All’s national Learn to Play Day returns for the sixth successive year on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th June 2017. Taking place at over 120 participating music shops and venues, the UK-wide event will offer the general public the chance to try out free ‘taster’ lessons on a musical instrument.
In 2016 event delivered more than 12,000 free instrument ‘taster’ lessons at an array of venues including music shops, schools, churches and other venues throughout the UK.
Music for All is a registered charity that aims to promote the substantial and wide ranging benefits of music making. Ambassadors include, Gareth Malone OBE, Dame Evelyn Glennie, Nick Mason (Pink Floyd), Rodrigo y Gabriela, Rick Wakeman, Al Murray, Rick Astley, Howard Jones and patron Jools Holland.
