Tess Dunn Tiptree Piano Teacher

Tess is a young musician and gained a 2nd class BA (Hons) Music degree from the University of Southampton in 2012. From a young age she has always taken a keen interest in classical music and thoroughly enjoys playing her piano, cello and trumpet.

Since leaving Southampton, Tess is now based in Essex and has her own Teaching Business, Treble Tess Music. She is currently taking on piano, trumpet and cello students privately, as well as teaching in schools. She welcomes beginners to advanced standards. Whether it’s for a hobby or serious, her mission is to give fun and enjoyable lessons. She will make sure each student progresses well after each lesson, so they can achieve their best in examinations.

As a teacher, Tess teaches children aged 4 – 12 piano in groups and individually peripatetically in schools around Essex. She thoroughly enjoys sharing her passion of music with the children. Tess teaches piano, cello and trumpet Friday evenings to young children at the Woolmer Music Studio in Orsett, Basildon.

Tess has 11 years of orchestral experience and enjoys working as a session cellist and pianist. She is currently a member of the Colne Philharmonic Orchestra and London Shostakovich Orchestra. She also enjoys directing shows, and has since taken up the position of Music Director for the local dramatic arts group.

In her spare time Tess composes music and has written pieces for Piano Trios, Cello, Flute and Piano Solos. She has also written orchestral compositions, all based around neo-classicism.
